Estate Planning and Probate

Attorneys in our estate planning and probate practice group counsel our clients in all phases of estate planning. We work to assist and protect our clients' estates during life and after death. Each family has unique situations and concerns; therefore, we work closely with our clients to formulate a plan to meet these individual needs.

Estate planning gives families a sense of security that is important to us all. These are tough decisions and that is why we walk our clients through all phases of the estate planning process. We use a variety of tools to meet our clients’ needs, including wills with tax saving trusts, irrevocable and revocable trusts, gift planning, healthcare directives, and powers of attorney. In certain circumstances, we also involve special tax counsel to assist our very high net worth clients to employ the most advanced asset protection strategies.

We also assist clients in all aspects of the probate process. We work closely with accountants skilled in the preparation of state and federal estate tax returns, business appraisers skilled in evaluating closely held corporations, and our clients’ other investment and business advisors. Our goal is to complete the probate process in a timely and efficient manner.
